Oral class is one of the main types of classes in Chinese as a foreign language,and its main goal is to cultivate students’ communicative ability.With the development of information technology,the traditional teaching mode can no longer meet the teaching needs of oral classes.The multi-modal teaching mode advocates the integration of advanced teaching methods and the use of different symbol systems for communicative competence training,which is in line with the teaching objectives of oral classes.The author believes that using multi-modal teaching mode to guide the teaching design of oral classes not only helps to give full play to the role of multimedia and make students pay more attention,but also enhances the fun and communicative aspects of classes and improves the comprehensibility of language input,thus improving the effect of Chinese teaching and enhancing the quality of teaching.Based on the multi-modal teaching model and the one-to-one online teaching environment,this paper makes a complete teaching design based on the junior Chinese speaking class "Have you been to Xiangshan" as an example,and conducts teaching evaluation and reflection in order to provide reference for the one-to-one online teaching of junior Chinese speaking class.This study consists of five chapters:Chapter 1 is the introduction,which includes the background and significance of the study,the current research status of multi-modal teaching mode,junior Chinese speaking class,one-to-one online teaching and instructional design,and the research method used in this paper.Chapter 2 analyzes the appropriateness of multi-modal teaching mode and one-to-one online teaching of Chinese as a foreign language for elementary speaking classes,firstly,it clarifies the concepts of multi-modal teaching mode,the theoretical basis,the principles of modality selection and the teaching principles of Chinese as a foreign language for elementary speaking classes,and provides a theoretical basis for the feasibility analysis.Then,through the analysis of the psychological characteristics of the learners,the principles of teaching and the one-to-one online teaching environment,the suitability of the multi-modal teaching mode and the one-to-one online teaching of elementary Chinese speaking classes is clarified.Chapter 3 analyzes the relevant elements of the teaching design based on the multi-modal teaching model,mainly analyzing the teaching environment,the teaching targets,and the teaching materials and class types used in this study.Chapter 4 is the specific teaching design,which is based on the analysis of teaching objectives,teaching contents,teaching priorities,teaching methods and class time arrangement,including the general design of teaching and the specific teaching process.Chapter 5 evaluates the effectiveness of the teaching practice through questionnaires,classroom observations and analysis of students’ homework completion,and proposes specific applications of the multi-modal teaching model based on classroom reflections.It is hoped that this study can inspire the one-to-one online teaching of elementary Chinese speaking classes.
