| Language is an important tool of thinking and communication for human beings.The language ability includes five basic abilities such as listening,speaking,reading,viewing and writing,and it consists the foundation of the key competence,which is the goal of high school English curriculum according to The English Curriculum Standards for High Schools(2017).However,‘Silent English’ is still a common sense among Chinese high school English teaching that reading and writing ability have been paid more attention while listening and speaking have been ignored.From this phenomenon,there are still dozens of problems to be solved for English listening-speaking teaching of high schools.The accelerating information era with the COVID-19 epidemic situation promotes the understanding of online education for the majority of people,so that new technology could be used to help teachers and students solve bottleneck problems in the English learning of listening and speaking.Based on literatures research,since the cognition among students is different and the teaching form is relatively single,high school students are lack of English learning autonomy,which leads to the poor ability of students currently.In order to renew English listening-speaking teaching in high school,and to provide more possibilities for students’ English learning of listening and speaking to improve their ability,this dissertation decides to research the influence of Blending Learning on high school English study of listening and speaking.This research is mainly illustrated by following two issues: whether this mode could influence the learning autonomy and scores in English listening and speaking of high school students,and which aspects could be affected if it does have any influence.Two classes from a senior high school in Chongqing(one of them is the experimental class,the other one is the comparison class)haven been set as the research objects to be studied by using four methods such as questionnaire,interview,case study and education experiment along with the mode of ‘Blending Learning of high school English listening-speaking based on ‘Tianxue’’.The conclusion is summarized as follow after the experimental study through three months:The Blending Learning mode has positive effects on helping high school students improve their learning autonomy and scores of English listening and speaking,and its influence on learning autonomy is mainly reflected in following three aspects: The consciousness of reflective thinking and concentration of students are extremely enhanced by the detailed data analysis of the intelligent platform.Also,the study initiative,independence and planning consciousness have been improved by centralized study resources.Moreover,the study interest is enhanced by the integrated training of listening and speaking.Meanwhile,since this mode does motivate the subjective initiative of study,it is able to improve the scores of their English listening and speaking. |
