Response is a very common speech act in daily communication.The response"X Shi"is the specific language form taken in response.Previous studies on the response"X shi"often focus on the specific analysis of a single"X Shi",and lack of an integrated systematic investigation of the whole"X Shi".In order to further improve the research system of response,based on discourse analysis theory and pragmatic theory,this paper makes a systematic investigation of"X Shi"response by using linguistic methods such as corpus description and comparative analysis,represented by"Jiu Shi/Ye Shi/Zhen Shi"in the structure of"Adverb+Shi"and"Na Shi"in the structure of"Pronoun+Shi"and the special structure"Ke Bu Shi".This paper consists of six parts.The main conclusions are as follows:The first part is the introduction.Firstly,it introduces the reason,purpose and significance of the study of the response"X Shi",and determines the research object of this paper;Secondly,it summarizes and evaluates the previous research on the corresponding answer and"X Shi";Finally,it explains the research method and corpus source of this paper.The second part mainly analyzes the composition of the answer"X Shi",and discusses the structural and functional characteristics of the answer"X Shi".By summarizing the common responses in modern Chinese,it is found that in the"X Shi"type of responses,"X"is mostly an adverb with[+subjectivity],and"shi"is a functional word with response function.The structure and function of the response"X Shi"are often influenced by the number of participants.The third part mainly analyzes the discourse function of the answer"X Shi".Through corpus analysis,it is found that the response"Jiu Shi/Ye Shi/Zhen Shi/Na Shi/Ke Bu Shi"can make positive response to the discourse content of the initiator,and the confirmation function and identification function are the core functions of the response"X Shi".The response"X Shi"can be divided into three aspects:general statement,positive statement and negative statement because of the different subjective emotions of the respondents.The five responses"X Shi"can be used for general statements,the response"Jiu Shi/Na Shi/Ke Bu Shi"can be used for positive statements,and the response"Jiu Shi/Ye Shi/Zhe Shi"can be used for negative statements.In terms of cohesive function,the response"X Shi"can not only connect two identical topics,but also form semantic relationships such as repetition,progression,causality,interpretation and transition.It can also connect two different topics.The response"X Shi"acts as a sign of topic conversion.The fourth part mainly summarizes the commonness and differences of the discourse function of the answer"X Shi".In terms of generality,the response"X Shi"has a consistent discourse position,can be interchanged when expressing its position on the determined facts,and has developed a certain discourse function in discourse communication.In terms of differences,the response"X Shi"has different tendencies in the four different sequence positions of inquiry,notification,evaluation and request,and different communication purposes lead to different identification intensity.According to different communication purposes,the identification intensity(from strong to weak)of the response"X Shi"can be expressed as:"Jiu Shi">"Zhe Shi2">"Na Shi"≥"Ke Bu Shi">"Ye Shi".At the same time,the response"X Shi"also shows some differences in cohesive function,and can show different subjective emotions of the respondents.The fifth part mainly explores the reasons for the differences in the discourse functions of the response"X Shi".The difference in the discourse function of the response"X Shi"is the result of the comprehensive action of many factors.This paper holds that the lexicalization,grammaticalization,core semantics and the specific expression of discourse position of the response"X Shi"are the main factors causing the difference of the response"X Shi".The sixth part is the conclusion.Summarize and summarize the content of this paper,and point out the shortcomings of this paper and the direction of efforts in the future. |
