Contextualization In Translating Regulation Of Arificial Intelligence In Selected Jurisdiction

Artificial Intelligence is an emerging industry,having increasing requirements for laws and regulations.However,as AI law is becoming a hot topic in the world,research on translation within this field is gaining more and more attention,but there are still insufficiencies in the study of contextualization.Based on the translation practice of Regulation of Artificial Intelligence in Selected Jurisdiction,a book of regulations in a certain area,this report aims to explore how to realize the contextualization of the text.In this report,several cases of terms and sentences are extracted as they are poorly translated.Terms are analyzed in situational context and cultural context,while sentences are analyzed to retrieve their connection between contexts and discourses.Through analyzing and comparing these cases,this report finds that contextual factors are indispensable in translation.Besides that,this report discusses different revisions of translation and finally concludes the process of contextualization.Many translation methods are used in this report,such as literal translation and free translation.Therefore,it is significant for this report to provide references in Artificial Intelligence law,which has few analyses to realize contextualization before.
