Marketplace culture is a cultural form created from the lifestyle and commercial activities of neighborhood residents,recording the cultural pattern of the city’s streets and alleys and the accumulated life of people.The resulting flavor of the city’s fireworks is a spatial atmosphere that holds the emotions of the streets and alleys and brings a deep memory to the residents.Baoding’s marketplace culture reflects the life and customs of the residents in the ancient city of Baoding,and evokes the memory of the residents of the marketplace culture.This thesis summarizes the characteristic analysis and extraction method of regional symbols in Baoding marketplace culture,and uses visual characteristics and fireworks atmosphere to present this popular culture in the form of hand-drawn illustration visuals to increase the commercial value of cultural derivatives,increase the public marketplace identity emotion,and further promote economic development.While enriching the study of Baoding marketplace culture visual design application,it also further transforms the semiotic theory under The theoretical reality of regional elements,reflecting the combination of theory and practice.This paper is divided into five parts.In the first part,it collects and explores the current situation at home and abroad,summarizes the shortage of research and sets out the research direction,innovative ideas and research framework.In the second part,it analyzes the excellent cases that have completed the symbol extraction process in the marketplace culture through the research combing of semiotics,locality characteristics and marketplace culture theory,and summarizes the advantages of experience learning.In the third part,it combines In the fourth part,the methods,principles and values of the application of semiotic theories in the visual expression of Baoding market culture are explained,and these are applied to the subsequent practice.Finally,in response to the analysis of semiotic theories,the visual design of Baoding market culture is used as a carrier to transform the Baoding marketplace culture into a design language,and to get the visual transformation of various aspects of regional symbols.According to the demand of the audience group,we will design posters,practical souvenirs,dynamic videos,and offline experiences,which are popular in the daily life of the public,to create the visual design of Baoding’s bazaar atmosphere,and develop the promotion plan of Baoding’s bazaar culture visual design practice,so as to realize the innovation of business and art,meet the public demand,enhance the bazaar emotional To pass on the culture of the marketplace through experience.The promotion of the design of derivatives related to the marketplace is also a re-conceptualization of Baoding culture.This thesis uses the theory of semiotics to guide the practice of visual design application research of Baoding marketplace culture,which is the interweaving and symbiosis of history and humanity,and the regeneration of Baoding marketplace culture.It is of great significance to inherit Baoding’s cultural connotation,protect the ancient city’s appearance,revitalize the neighborhood,and improve the quality of life and image value.
