Research On The Culture Of Wushu Equipment In Sui,Tang And Five Dynasties

The Sui,Tang and Five Dynasties were periods of full prosperity for China’s feudal society.Wushu culture also absorbed nutrients from this fertile soil and gradually grew.However,wushu culture does not exist as a branch line in complete isolation.It is intertwined with military affairs,literature,politics,entertainment and religion to form an "Interconnected Web".The commonality of these intersections is reflected in wuhsu equipment.This article strives to explore the roles played by the wushu equipment in different fields and the symbolic meanings behind it,showing the rich wushu cultural heritage.The article takes the culture of wushu equipment in the Sui,Tang and Five Dynasties as the research object,and uses the literature research method,cross research method and induction method to conduct research,and divides it according to the different fields of use and objects of wushu equipment,and draws the following conclusions:(1)The sharp blade of military commanders on the battlefield: the "Military" culture.Cold weapons can be passed down to this day and transformed into wushu training equipment.What they must have is their practicability on the battlefield.After selecting descriptions related to war and wushu equipment from historical examples,related romance novels,and storytellings,it can be found that the types of wushu equipment are extremely rich,and the temperament and character of generals and the endowment of equipment are closely related to the two.In practical applications,the equipment also shows justice,chivalrous,loyalty and national spirit.(2)The sustenance of talents in the literary world: the "Literature" culture.The Sui,Tang and Five Dynasties were a year of brilliant achievements in the development of literature.Not only did new literary styles such as legends and Ci,but also many literary giants emerged.Because of their different historical stages and their own circumstances,they had a unique understanding of wushu equipment.Specifically,it can be divided into: ambition,mawkishness,resemblance,retirement.(3)The glory of politicians in officialdom: the "Politics" culture.Politically,wushu equipment has been deviated from practicality and turned to play its symbolic role.First of all,there is a manifestation of equipment in the setting of official titles.Secondly,in terms of etiquette such as chariots and crowns,guards of honor,ceremonies,and music and dance,wushu equipment also plays the roles of solemnity,majesty,piety and elegant entertainment.Finally,the political "implication" of wushu equipment can be classified into: a symbol of identity,power,status and honor guard.(4)The pastime among the court and folk: the "Entertainment" culture.Wushu equipment can also be used as entertainment for court maids and common people.In music and dance,whether it is "Wen" dance,"Wu" dance,Music of the Four Barbarians,or "Sanyue" and "Baixi",there are broadswords,swords,lances,and halberds in them.In games,whether it is a military bow shot or a simple casual pot throwing,the participation of equipment has fully exerted its fitness and entertainment functions.(5)The holdings of religious immortals and Buddhas: the "Religion" culture.In Buddhist culture,equipment has a markedly violent color,which can remove obstacles for people and finally achieve transcendence and nirvana.In Taoist culture,there are various types of equipment,and they also have a certain violent meaning,but they mainly use deterrence to disperse demons and play a role of increasing authority and strengthening.The ultimate goal is to make people soar.
