| In the digital era of the translation industry,Machine Translation and Post-Editing(MTPE)model has become the mainstream working model in the language service industry.In recent years,with the development of science and technology,machine translation has been continuously improved.This report applies the MTPE model to the translation of political and economic news,analyzes the problems of machine translation on the lexical level,syntactic level and discourse level,and gives corresponding post-editing strategies,aiming at exploring the translation of political and economic news under the guidance of the MTPE model.Chapter One introduces the task description,translation process and research significance of the report.Chapter Two is literature review,which analyzes the research and current situation of the application of MTPE model in political and economic news translation.Chapter Three is about case study,discussing the main problems of MT versions in political and economic news translation from the levels of lexical,syntactic and discourse,and giving PE strategies.Chapter Four is the conclusion,giving some suggestions on the development of machine translation,and summarizing the PE strategies mentioned in the report.In order to complete the post-editing with high efficiency and quality,the author summarizes the following strategies:On the lexical level,translators should find parallel texts to verify the translation of proper nouns,adjust the translation of polysemy according to the context and adopt free translation to deal with metonymy.On the syntactic level,translators should adjust the word order and change the subject according to the Chinese expression habits and analyze the logic of long sentences.On the discourse level,translators should specify the object to which the pronoun refers,add conjunctions to make the text more coherent,supplement the omitted parts in the source language to make the article more readable,etc. |
