With the growth of the feminist movement, feminist translation theory has emerged.Feminism and translation are combined in this work.It arose against the backdrop of the “cultural turn” in translation.Since the 1990 s,feminist translation theory has been introduced to China. It has a significant impact on traditional translating theory and practice. The Chinese translation industry has many lovely collision sparks with this new translation theory at the same time as it introduces this western feminist translation theory.Starting with a feminist perspective on translation, this thesis introduces feminist translation theory and its influence from several aspects: The first chapter introduces the background of the study, its purpose and its significance,as well as the research questions and methods.Chapter two provides an overview of the research on feminist translation theory at home and abroad using the method of literature review.Chapter three give a detailed account of feminist translation theory.Chapter four introduces the whole process of translation.Chapter five takes the feminist work From Eve to Dawn:A History of Women as the object of study and analyzes how the feminist view of translation is reflected in the translation process with the help of the three major feminist translation strategies(supplementing, hijacking and prefacing)proposed by Flotow,a representative of the Canadian feminist view of translation.Feminist translation theory broadens the scope of translation studies while simultaneously showing the subjectivity of translators. It includes a more subjective and objective examination of the translation process. It has also opened up new avenues for translation research. It’s a vibrant and new tributary to the translation ocean.
