Cultural empathy is the core factor of cross-cultural communication ability.As far as the cultivation of talents in Chinese international education is concerned,the training of cross-cultural empathy ability is an important part of cultivating students’ cross-cultural communication skills.Cross cultural sensitivity is the basis of cross-cultural empathy,and ethnocentrism is the obstacle in cross-cultural empathy.In the cultivation of cross-cultural empathy ability,we need to understand the students’ cross-cultural sensitivity and ethnocentrism tendency,so as to adjust the training measures.This paper uses the cross-cultural sensitivity scale and ethnocentrism scale to conduct a questionnaire survey on the 2018 and 2019 undergraduate students of Chinese International Education in Nanning Normal University.Cultural empathy is the core factor of cross-cultural communication ability.As far as the cultivation of talents in Chinese international education is concerned,the training of cross-cultural empathy ability is an important part of cultivating students’ cross-cultural communication skills.Cross cultural sensitivity is the basis of cross-cultural empathy,and ethnocentrism is the obstacle in cross-cultural empathy.In the cultivation of cross-cultural empathy ability,we need to understand the students’ cross-cultural sensitivity and ethnocentrism tendency,so as to adjust the training measures.This paper uses the cross-cultural sensitivity scale and ethnocentrism scale to conduct a questionnaire survey on the 2018 and 2019 undergraduate students of Chinese International Education in Nanning Normal University.The research shows that the subjects’ cross-cultural sensitivity is generally at a medium level,and the tendency of ethnocentrism is not serious.Among the five dimensions of the cross-cultural sensitivity scale,differential identity is the strongest and interactive confidence is the weakest.There is a certain correlation between the five dimensions.The research shows that the cross-cultural empathy ability of 2018 Chinese international education students has not been further developed,and the cross-cultural sensitivity of students who have participated in online teaching of Chinese as a foreign language is significantly higher than that of students who have not participated.Based on the above research results,this paper discusses the cross-cultural empathy training measures and discipline characteristics of Nanning Normal University.Finally,it puts forward some measures to cultivate students’ cross-cultural empathy ability.Schools should optimize the curriculum.Curriculum learning is the main way of cross-cultural cognitive empathy;Strengthening the construction of teachers,teachers’ cross-cultural communication quality directly affects the development of students’ cross-cultural empathy ability;The practice of cross-cultural empathy plays an important role in the development of cross-cultural empathy.Teachers should learn cross-cultural knowledge and improve their cross-cultural communication quality;Enrich cross-cultural teaching methods and make up for the lack of cross-cultural communication empathy.Students should adhere to a positive and open attitude and consciously carry out cross-cultural empathy;Participate in more cross-cultural activities to enhance the confidence of interaction;Be familiar with the development process of cultural empathy,monitor the development of cross-cultural empathy and empathy ability,and fully understand yourself.The innovation of this paper: the research perspective is new.In the field of Chinese international education,most of the existing research focuses on the macro research of cross-cultural ability,and few research is done from the micro cross-cultural empathy training.The research method is new.This paper applies ISS and gene to the empirical research on the cultivation of cultural empathy.The data and training measures obtained from this survey have certain reference value for the cultivation of cross-cultural empathy ability of Chinese education major of Nanning Normal University,and also provide reference for the improvement of cross-cultural communication ability training system of this major.This study is influenced by the author’s inherent experience and cognition,and the suggestions put forward have certain limitations.
