National image is the embodiment of a country’s comprehensive strength and international status.Under the influence of the globalization of Chinese language,the number of Chinese learners is increasing gradually,and international Chinese textbooks will help Chinese learners to understand the real image of China.Previous studies on the image of China in international Chinese textbooks focused on middle and high school textbooks,but there is still a lot of room for exploration on the whole set of textbooks.The research perspective mainly focuses on one dimension,such as character dimension and cultural dimension.Based on this,the innovation points of this paper are put forward: the research object is comprehensive,the research Angle is multi-dimensional,the research theory is practical.The comprehensive textbook of Developing Chinese is of high quality,widely used,rich in content and close to the reality of life.It is a common textbook in international Chinese education.Therefore,by comprehensively sorting out the text content of the full set of comprehensive textbooks of Developing Chinese,studying the image of China presented by them in multiple dimensions and systematically analyzing the complete set of textbooks,the data is more comprehensive and representative,and the theories related to the image of China are enriched,which has certain academic value.By using the framework theory and the topic classification standard,the content of the comprehensive textbook Developing Chinese is divided into different topics from a macro perspective.By using the case analysis method,the image of China presented in the primary and senior textbooks is placed in a multi-dimensional framework,and the dimensions of China’s image are selected and divided into eight first-level dimensions,namely,politics,economy,society,national,culture,education,geography and science and technology.Then it is subdivided into multiple second-level dimensions to specifically analyze the Chinese image displayed in different dimensions.Moreover,comparative analysis is used to compare and analyze the characteristics of the Chinese image presented in textbooks of all levels.According to the evaluation theory,the affective tendency is divided into positive,negative and neutral,and the affective tendency presented in the textbooks of junior high school and senior high school is discussed from the middle perspective,and the affective tendency is mainly positive and seconded by neutral.Text analysis is used to analyze the language of textbooks at all levels from the micro level,including high-frequency words,keywords and topic statements.By studying the comprehensive textbook "Developing Chinese",this paper analyzes the image of China created by it,summarizes its success and shortcomings,and puts forward some specific compiling suggestions according to its shortcomings,that is,to show the image in a multidimensional balance,reduce the selection of outdated content,show the image through more ways of cultural knowledge,and show the image from the perspective of others,so as to improve the compilation of international Chinese textbooks.Based on the "5C" standard,this paper puts forward some suggestions on teaching design to enhance the ability of Chinese learners to apply what they have learned,further deepen their understanding of the image of China,reduce the difference in understanding between different cultures,and eliminate the negative impact of teaching materials,hoping to provide some references for the building of the image of China in the teaching of comprehensive courses. |
