Both the poetry of the Han dynasty and the Suzhou opera are traditional cultures of China, and it is this fusion of the two that has led to the creation of the art song "Chang Xiang Zhi".The modern composer Lian Bo borrowed the verses from the fifteenth song "Shang Ye" from the Han music collection "Drumming and Blowing Song-Eighteen Cymbals" and combined them with the musical elements of Suzhou Ping Tan to compose the song. The song retains the simplicity and realism of the Han music folk songs, but also incorporates the soft and gentle qualities of the Wu sound from the south of the Yangtze River, which is both operatic and local. It is worth noting how to study this song in depth and in a professional manner as a vocal learner. On the basis of an understanding of the cultural underpinnings of the song, its emotional characteristics are distilled. And in the practice of singing it is combined with scientific vocal methods to accurately reflect its profound cultural connotations and thus perform the vocal piece well.In this article,we take the ancient poetic art song "Chang Xiang Zhi" as an example and analyse the work mainly from the perspective of vocal analysis. On the basis of a brief description of the background of the composition of the song "Chang Xiang Zhi",the structural features and stylistic characteristics of the song are analysed, and the singing techniques are discussed in detail from three aspects: sense of speech, voice and emotion, respectively,in my own singing experience.By analying the music composition and singing practice of the ancient poetry art song "Chang Xiang Zhi",it is hoped that it can provide some reference for vocal learners.
