Research On Lu You’s Diary Poems

Lu You is a representative of prolific poets in the history of poetry.Among his thousands of poems,many "diary poems" deserve special attention.The concept of "diary poem" was first put forward by Xian Yuhuang,and Ma Dongyao gave a clear definition of "diary poem".Based on Lu You’s diary poems,this paper discusses the creation stages,themes,artistic characteristics and reasons of Lu You’s diary poems.On the basis of Qian Zhonglian’s Annotation of Jiannan poetry manuscripts,this paper searches 552 diary poems.In order to investigate Lu You’s diary poems more clearly,this paper further divides his writing of diary poems into three periods:before entering Shu,after entering Shu,returning to the east after being dismissed from office and living in seclusion in the mountains.There are certain differences in quantity and style among the three stages,which reflects the poet’s mentality in different periods.Compared with other Lu poems,these diary poems make us closer to the poet.They are not only the life history of the poet,but also the spiritual history of the poet.These diary poems are the most direct window into the poet’s heart.On the basis of the division,this paper further classifies Lu You’s diary poems,and explores Lu You’s diary poems from three perspectives:scenery poems,life poems and sentimental poems.Compared with ordinary poems,these poems record the poet’s daily life more vividly,and truly reflect the poet’s mentality and dynamic changes.This paper further analyzes the artistic characteristics of Lu You’s diary poetry.Although the concept of poetry such as expressing one’s will and feeling has always been a long-standing tradition of ancient poetry,narrative is also an indispensable part of the ancient poetry tradition.In the Song Dynasty,the narrative of poetry is more obvious,which is more clearly reflected in Lu You’s diary poems.Narration is often inseparable from the record,Lu You’s diary poems have the characteristics of record,which is a true reflection of his daily life and mental state.At the same time,Lu You’s diary poems are also plain,one of the important reasons is that they are the records of his daily life,and Lu You’s pursuit of plain style in his later years further deepens the plain of his diary poems.At the end of the paper,the author discusses the reasons for Lu You’s creation of diary poems from three aspects:the prevailing custom at that time,the life style of "daily lessons and poems" and the historical concept of chronology.The result of this influence is not so obvious,it is more subtle influence on the poet’s creative thinking and methods.Lu You’s diary poems make his "personal" more vivid,compared with the general evaluation of Lu You as a "patriotic poet",these poems make the poet’s image more concrete and vivid.Its narrative,documentary and plain characteristics also strongly promoted the formation of the style of Song poetry.Therefore,the study of Lu You’s diary poems is helpful for us to have a more comprehensive understanding of Lu You,and we can also have a more intuitive and clear insight into the process of the poet’s mentality change.
