| In recent years,the IP development of Chinese mythology has attracted much attention in the industry,and the development of Chinese mythology IP relies on the construction of Transmedia Storytelling,which also provides a feasible path for telling Chinese stories well.The classical works of Chinese mythology are recognized literary works in the spreading process of Chinese mythology,which contains the romantic imagination and the spirit of searching of ancient Chinese,as well as the literary value and symbolic significance of ancient China,and is one of the inspirations of Chinese stories.The successful development of a series of IP’s in foreign countries,such as Marvel Universe and Disney Universe,is based on the role and influence of Transmedia Storytelling,and there are many excellent works in Chinese "mythological universe".Classic of Mountains and Rivers,Creation of the gods are also the treasure library of Chinese stories.Transmedia Storytelling research on Chinese mythological classics may provide a path to tell good Chinese stories.The main research method of this thesis is case analysis,and the part of case study is supplemented by content analysis to deepen the case study.The introduction part of this thesis mainly expounds the research background and significance,and combs the research status at home and abroad.The second chapter is to sort out the general development history of Chinese mythological classic works,and compare the recognized classics of the past dynasties with the current influential mythological IP,so as to select the overlapping classic works as analysis cases.And from the aesthetic value,literary value,symbolic value,material value of four dimensions to analyze and summarize the cultural value of Chinese mythological classic works,in order to confirm the value connotation and far-reaching significance of the transmedia communication of Chinese mythological classic works.The third chapter analyzes the main manifestations of the current Transmedia Storytelling of Chinese mythic classics,summarizes how the current Transmedia Storytelling of Chinese mythic classics is constructed,and analyzes from three dimensions of narrative concept,narrative strategy and fans’ participation behavior,so as to understand the main path and status quo of the current Transmedia Storytelling of Chinese mythic classics.The fourth chapter,through the analysis of specific cases,sums up the main existing modes of Transmedia Storytelling of the current Chinese mythological classics,namely,the extraction and fusion mode represented by Classic of Mountains and Rivers,the two-way expansion mode represented by Creation of the gods and The Journey to the West,and the differentiation and expansion mode represented by Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio.Through the summary of different modes to provide reference for other IP development of Chinese mythology is still lacking classic works.The fifth chapter summarizes the current predicament of Chinese mythology Transmedia Storytelling on the basis of the previous research,that is,the mythological IP development is still chaotic,the story world system and sequence are mixed,and the sub-IP industry matrix is not perfect.To solve the above problems,it may be possible to construct a sustainable IP universe,enhance the flexibility of narrative transmedia flow,and enhance the audience’s sense of experience and participation.The rational use of Chinese mythological materials and IP development provide a feasible path for the production and dissemination of Chinese stories.There is still a large space for improvement in the creation of mythological universe in the future,but the current exploration is mostly a preliminary attempt,and the layout of the future mythological narrative IP industry still needs more practice.IP developers need to revitalize fairy tales in the present through new refactoring methods to create more valuable Chinese story IP. |
