The celestial-paladin electronic games take ancient Chinese mythology as the background,establish an image in the grand mythological framework,and re-narrate the elements such as prototypes,motifs and themes in traditional mythology through visual and concrete game interactions or animated images.Although the games use a large number of traditional mythological elements,it do not completely copy the myths in the literature,but combine the psychological orientation of the players in contemporary society to select and reproduce,adapt and reconstruct the misappropriated traditions,and form a new mythological system in the game.Players can gain sacred experience through the connection of myths in the game,re-perceive the great power of traditional mythological heroes in the way of immersive experience,establish self-efficacy by freely manipulating characters,revel in the identity resolution of virtual space,and gain social identity and self-belonging in the game.Sense,and with the help of game characters or cosplay,get a sacred experience that is infinitely close to the role.This article takes the ’ domestic three swords ’ series of games as an example,from the mythological ontology and external functions in the game.The first three chapters are the study of mythological ontology in the celestial-paladin electronic games,including mythological elements,mythological narrative and narrative strategies of mythological restatement in Xianxia games.The fourth chapter explores the reasons why myths are deeply attractive to players from the perspective of the external function of myths and the internal driving force behind the return and restatement of myths.The main body is divided into four chapters:The first chapter ’ mythological elements in the celestial-paladin electronic games ’.It is analyzed from two dimensions : specific mythological characters,mythological images and abstract sacred space and sacred time.The mythological characters Pangu and Nuwa and the mythological image sword and water are selected to compare the similarities and differences between the borrowing of mythological elements in the game and the literature.The time and space in the game are divided into sacred and secular,and sacred space and time are mostly the ultimate goals pursued by players.Through the analysis of the intention of the game creator ’s selection and design,it is concluded that the player has a strong imitation psychology for the gods and their universe opening behavior.The second chapter ’ myth narrative in the celestial-paladin electronic games ’.The celestial-paladin electronic games embezzle and adapt the traditional myth in content and theme,and create a virtual myth world from three aspects : myth plot,myth character and myth theme.This chapter makes a concrete analysis of the relationship between the three themes of rebirth,heterogeneous illusion and salvation,the three mythological archetypes of ordinary heroes,heterogeneous goddesses and evil villains,and the three themes of unremitting struggle,selfless dedication and life exploration embodied in traditional myths and Xianxia games.The third chapter ’ narrative strategy in the celestial-paladin electronic games ’.In terms of narrative strategy,the mythological narrative in the celestial-paladin electronic games is different from the traditional mythological narrative.On the one hand,it has a strong interactivity.Players can have an immersive experience in the mythological world,and freely manipulate the characters to interact with the mythological plot in the game.On the other hand,the way in which myths are narrated in the game has changed,from the literalization of traditional myths to visualization,fragmentation to systematization,sanctification to routineization,and the traditional myths are restated with the advantages of contemporary digital media.The fourth chapter ’ the mythical function of the celestial-paladin electronic games ’.From the external function of the mythological theme,we explore the great power of the myth embodied in the game.The hero ’s role substitution makes the player gain the growth of the soul.The freedom of game manipulation helps the player to heal the pressure of life and rediscover self-worth.The sense of abandoning the reality in the virtual space makes the player dispel the social hierarchy,enjoy the carnival of equal identity,and gain a sense of sacred experience in the game.The conclusion part combs and summarizes the research content of the full text,and looks forward to the game as a myth in spreading traditional myths and healing the psychology of players.
