In Chinese, the existence sentence has always been one of the hot spots in the grammar field because of its distinct characteristics. Its ontology has a long history of research and rich achievements.Because of its unique pragmatic function, existential sentences have always been a key and difficult point in second language teaching. However, its research investment in teaching Chinese as a foreign language has been slightly insufficient compared with the ontological research, and there are few existing sentences based on the comparison between Chinese and English. This paper sorts out and summarizes Chinese existing sentences, summarizes their grammatical, semantic and pragmatic features, and analyzes the differences between Chinese existing sentences and English existing sentences by comparing Chinese with English, sorting out the key and difficult points in Chinese existing sentences teaching. This paper makes statistics on the arrangement of existing sentences in the syllabus and textbooks, and explores the errors of existing sentences in overseas students by analyzing the corpus. The article takes the existing sentence pattern in the textbook as the grammar point and carries on the concrete teaching case design. Finally, some suggestions are put forward for the teaching of Chinese existing sentences for native English speakers from the perspectives of teaching materials, teachers and teaching.By analyzing the teaching of existing sentences as a foreign language carefully and deeply, this paper hopes to play an effective role in promoting the teaching progress of existing sentences as a foreign language.
