Art anthropology is an interdisciplinary research from the West.It is a discipline that has evolved in the theoretical development of cultural anthropology and related art and aesthetics.Art anthropology,as a discipline,was born abroad in the 1970s.With the introduction of translation,it was introduced into China in the 1980s and gradually began to be constructed as a discipline.Before that,China had the practice of using anthropological methods to study art.The research object of this paper is the art anthropology as a research practice(or method)limited to the first half of the 20th century.Based on the basic theoretical research and field practice of Art Anthropology in various periods,this paper combs and analyzes the content of Art Anthropology in the first half of the 20th century in detail through literature analysis,pedigree analysis,background analysis,interdisciplinary research and horizontal and vertical comparison,and finally summarizes the characteristics and problems of Chinese Art Anthropology in the first half of the 20th century.This paper mainly includes six contents:The first part is the introduction.For this part,the concept of "Art Anthropology" is defined,and the research background,research purpose and significance,ideas and methods of the subject are summarized.The second part expounds the background of Chinese art anthropology.The theory of modern Chinese Art Anthropology began with the introduction of foreign works,and the practice is reflected in the preliminary field investigation of Chinese ethnic minority areas by foreign scholars.At this time,the research of Chinese modern art anthropology has taken shape.The third part analyzes the art anthropology before China’s Anti Japanese war.The research of Art Anthropology in this period began to explore the occurrence of art.This part combs and summarizes he research of art anthropology by scholars in this period,such as Cai Yuanpei,Lin Fengmian,Teng Gu and Xiang Peiliang.At this time,the local art anthropology is further developed.The fourth part discusses the field investigation of artistic anthropology of ethnic minorities in China.From the development of historical data to demonstration,the field investigation of Chinese minority art anthropology has sprung up in the firestorm.This part summarizes and analyzes the field period of early Chinese art anthropology,taking Cen Jiawu,Ling Chunsheng and Liu Xian as examples.The fifth part analyzes and arranges the artistic anthropology in Yan’an period.Taking Mao Zedong’s speech as the background,it probes into the field practice and wind collecting movement of wartime revolutionary artists in Northern Shaanxi.The sixth part summarizes its characteristics,points out its existing problems,and obtains the enlightenment to the progress of contemporary disciplines.To sum up,the paper summarizes the characteristics and laws of the development of academic history in this period by sorting out and summarizing the history of Chinese art anthropology in the first half of the 20th century,and makes a contribution to the role of this period in the academic history of Chinese art anthropology.A detailed and in-depth discussion of academic genealogy.The research content of this paper is of great value and significance to the construction of the discipline system,academic system and discourse system under the artistic anthropology with Chinese characteristics,Chinese style and Chinese style.
