Abstract/Summary:
Under the research background of inclusive finance benefiting developing countries, the text selected in this English-Chinese translation practice report is derived from the latest book There’s Nothing Micro about a Billion Women: Making Finance Work for Women by Mary Allen Iskendrian, president and CEO of the World Bank for Women,a global non-profit organization,This book is fluent and clear in language with high academic and practical value, which helps the domestic financial community to broaden their horizons and promote academic exchanges of inclusive finance at home and abroad. The case study in this report is mainly carried out from three levels:vocabulary, long sentences and textual cohesion. The lexical level is mainly divided into the translation of adverbs and the translation of abstract nouns. The translation strategies of long sentences can be divided into the order adjustment method and the comprehensive method. The translation of textual cohesion is mainly discussed from two aspects: the translation of referential structures or the translation of logical relations. It is hoped that this report can provide a useful reference for the translation of financial texts.
