On The Series Of “Mi Jing · Lang Xiang” Watercolor Creation

The creation of "Tranquility-Langxiang" originates from the combination of life perception and realistic scenery,and the aesthetic construction of objective objects by using personalized painting language.In this paper,we analyze and elaborate on the origin,process,and summary of the series of works.The series is based on the natural landscape of Langxiang,and the combination of light and color creates a poetic sense of atmosphere and recreates the objective landscape.In the composition,the traditional landscape composition is abandoned,and the form of "refining and intercepting composition" is adopted,not aiming at depicting a wide landscape,but a poetic landscape,integrating strong subjective feelings and exploring new forms of landscape expression.In the process of creation,we take the Impressionist color theory as our guide,analyze the expression of Sargent’s watercolor landscapes,explore the inner meaning of his watercolor language,summarize and refine the ever-changing light and color changes of nature,explore the painting form and composition of "Tranquility-Long Township",and combine painting techniques,color and space to create paintings with our own artistic style.Based on the above theoretical knowledge and practical experience,the author combines objective objects with spiritual feelings and creates them subjectively,so that the viewer can feel the artistic vitality and poetic atmosphere of the tranquil realm.
