| Since the birth of cinema in 1895,it has changed people’s lifestyles and enriched their spiritual lives. After that, with the advancement of technology and the development of the Internet, after more than 100 years of development from the first movie "Train Entering the Station" to now,the presentation forms of movies have become more and more diversified, including micro movies, new media movies,VR movies, vertical screen movies, panoramic movies, desktop movies, game movies and other forms.Among them, the microfilm is by far the most widely audience and the most applied form, mainly with the characteristics of short and concise, story condensed, etc. It is also, therefore,in line with the requirements of people’s fast-paced life for time in the context of the contemporary era of rapid technological development. The microfilm format allows people to make full use of their spare time to watch it,and it is gaining more and more popularity among the public.Except for the shorter duration, the basic art structure form of microfilm is almost no different from that of film. The main research direction of this paper is to analyze the use of nonlinear narrative structure in microfilm by taking the microfilm bibliography "The Lost" as an example.Narrative is divided into linear narrative structure and non-linear narrative structure, which plays an important role in microfilm and determines the way in which microfilm tells a story to the audience. This paper focuses on nonlinear narrative structure. When it comes to nonlinear narrative structure,we must talk about Christopher Nolan, whose films "Fragments of Memory","Inception" and "Creed" are all classics of nonlinear narrative structure films, and the microfilm work "The Lost" is also deeply influenced by it,adopting nonlinear structure to narrate. To analyze the use of nonlinear narrative structure in the microfilm work "The Lost",in this thesis,we mainly focus on two aspects, which are different time and space and dialogue, that is to say,the main film mainly adopts multiple time and space and dialogue polyphony in the nonlinear narrative structure to carry out the narrative. The three different temporal transitions are not only the main carrier of the non-linear narrative, but also an important way to complete the characterization and character enrichment through the temporal transitions. In terms of dialogue, dialogue is a part of sound, which is crucial in microfilm. After the first film change, people are full of novelty and love for sound films that can bring both visual impact and auditory enjoyment, and since then, silent films have basically retired from the stage of history. In the microfilm "The Lost",dialogue also shows its unique role, using dialogue to connect the past, present and past past, becoming the key and bridge for the time shift, giving rationality and coherence to the transition between time and space. In addition,we hope that the analysis of this thesis and the successful completion of the final project will inspire students to create soft science fiction microfilms.Any film or TV work is a secondary creation,so the primary creation as the basis and blueprint is especially important. As long as the script is carefully polished in the early stage and with sufficient preparation,it is entirely possible for students to make an excellent soft science fiction microfilm. |
