| The source text of this report is excerpted from a popular science text on birds,“SPOONIES”,the first chapter in A World on the Wing: The Global Odyssey of Migratory Birds,which is written by Scott Weidensaul,a naturalist in US.This chapter mainly introduces the plight of migratory birds in the process of migration,the status of migratory bird habitats along the Yellow Sea.Considering the characteristics of the text,the annotation method and context analysis method are selected to discuss the translation of the structure of “noun-past segmentation”;at the sentence level,the dash is managed with literal translation and the appropriate adjustment method;at the text level,the explicit passive translation method,active translation method and implicit translation method are used for the passive sentences.This report provides the translation reference for the translators in the related field in the future. |
