Research And Reference On The Art Of Bai Jiao Cursive Calligraphy

Baijiao and its calligraphy with great charm of the two Kings have attracted much attention from scholars today.As one of the representatives of modern "Shanghai style" calligraphy,Baijiao has profound literary accomplishment,deep attainments in poetry,literature,painting and printing,high calligraphy achievements,two Kings of the method,advocating two Kings.In the period of the Republic of China,Bajiao insisted on following the path of the traditional book-writing of the two Kings,and was one of the representatives of modern book-writing scholars.In the group of book-writing scholars in the period of the Republic of China,Bajiao was able to come after others,and his cursive writing had the charm of Wei and Jin Dynasties,elegant and extraordinary.On the basis of previous studies,this paper uses literature research method,image analysis method and induction method to explore the line cursive script of Bai Jiao.The article is divided into three parts.First,the background of the book circle in the Republic of China and the calligraphy style of Bai Jiao.The background of the book circle in the Republic of China is expounded from the aspects of calligraphy creation and theory,and the life experience of Bai Jiao is sorted out to explore the calligraphy characteristics of Bai Jiao in different life stages.Second,combined with the book theory of Baijiao,the brushwork,association,ink and composition of the cursive script in its mature period are analyzed to explore the reasons for the unique Jin rhyme of Baijiao calligraphy.Third,on the basis of the analysis of the cursive techniques in the line of Bai Jiao,the author selects the cursive works of Bai Jiao for copying,deeply understands the characteristics of its calligraphy,and takes this as the keynote for the creation practice.It is worth mentioning that although Bai Jiao’s reform in his later years failed due to the influence of his body,this paper speculated on the calligraphy style of his intended reform in his later years,and carried out a simple creation practice.Under the guidance of his calligraphy thought,Bai Jiao learned from Wei and Jin Dynasties,and was able to propose his own initiative.His cursive calligraphy approached Wei and Jin from various aspects,such as brushwork,association,ink method and chapter method.The author also analyzes these aspects when copying,and applies them in the creation practice,which improves the creation level and points out the direction for the author’s future study of books.
