Abstract/Summary:
Desire,as an instinctive human attribute,permeates human production and life,and is a subjective experience of the mind in the pursuit of individual fulfilment,although human sensual desire is also subject to social and ethical constraints.Literature,as a narrator of desire,therefore shows the forms of desire in the context of social development and tries to reveal the subtle relationship between individuals and groups behind desire.By combining his own life experiences and unique perceptions of life,the writer Bi Feiyu reveals,in the presentation of desire in two spatial cultures,urban and rural,the self-submergence of human beings in the face of the desire for power,money and the body in a modern society of’floating’ and ’heavy pressure’,and the resulting In the modern society of "floating" and"heavy pressure",human beings are faced with the desire for power,money and body,and the resulting spiritual game.Bi Feiyu peeks into the dark shadows of people’s hearts in every corner of their daily lives,always searching for the meaning of life with a humanist sentiment,and behind his serious and restrained attitude is a deep contemplation of people’s pursuit of individual satisfaction of desires in the world.This essay is divided into three main chapters.The first chapter introduces the interpretation of desire in Chinese and Western culture,and under this chapter,we review Bi Feiyu’s writing on desire in general,and consider the role of ’desire writing’ in literature and the significance of Bi Feiyu’s’desire writing’.The second chapter explores the writer’s unique life experiences and life experiences to find the sources of desire writing.Bi Feiyu presents his heavy thoughts and spiritual pain in the form of words to the reader,using his unique personal style,aesthetic grasp and image creation to present the hidden meaning of life.In turn,the triple chronological dimension of"rural life","urban experience" and "urban-rural inter-viewing" is used to find the realistic sources of the writer’s desire to write,as well as the heart-rooted humanistic concerns beneath the contemplation of desire.The humanistic concern rooted in the heart of desire contemplation.The third chapter analyses the metaphors of desire in the writer’s novels through the characters and imagery chosen by Bi Feiyu,using the banal and trivial reality of everyday life and inflated desires to rebel against the aberrations of human nature and to mobilise the initiative and consciousness of individual lives to redeem themselves and reject decay.The rise of the Internet and the shift in readership have put Bi Feiyu’s work in an awkward situation.
