Ever since the90s of20th century when he made his literary debut,Bi Feiyu has produced almost one hundred novelettes and4novels, inwhich there are many writings about female. Whatever the female live inthe old male-dominated society, or the expansion of material cities, or theclosed villages under "the cultural revolution", they have a commonfeature——feeling pain from the suffering of excessive desire. Desire isthe nature of human; the desires are full of people’s life, money, material,power and so on companying the life any minute. The desire is the sourceof pain. To control the desire properly and understand the desire very well,it will become a kind of driving force. But the excessive desire willalienate the mind﹑distort human nature. In the old society in which menplowed the fields and women wove cloth, women were always at theattached position and have no power to contend against the men, so theyare helpless. The only desire for women in this time is to survive. In theexpansion of material cities, the social and economic status of women areimproved, but the economization society make them produce excessivedesires about money, material, fame and fortune and so on. About the women under the "Cultural Revolution" are influenced by the "CulturalRevolution", they have sky-high worship for the "power". What’s more,the remaining feudal thought, like "Official Standard" and "A Man ofMen", are deep-rooted in the closed villages, so the desire of "Power"become strong enough to distort the souls of them. In the novel"Massage" written by Bi Feiyu, although the blind women have theproper pursuit towards love﹑ideality and family, the disadvantages oftheir body bring them blocks, so they are suffering another kind of pain.There are totally five Chapters in this paper. The first Chapter elaboratethat desire and pain are the theme of the whole paper; The second、third、and fourth chapters are respectively desires and pains of women in oldsociety、the expansion of material cities、the closed villages; The fifthchapter is the analysis of the blind female images in “Massage”, thephysical disabilities make their normal desires can not come true easily.
