Currently,with the rise of Internet technology,pictures and video have become one of the important ways to acquire knowledge,and also increasingly occupy the dominant position of information transmission.In textbooks,the role and use of the illustrations are also paid more and more attention.How to use the teaching material illustrations to assist the teaching has become the key to consider when compiling the textbooks.However,in terms of the current demand and supply of international Chinese textbooks,there are many illustrations selected in the textbooks with many deficiencies,which has also become one of the increasingly prominent problems.This research takes I Love Chinese & Chinese textbook in Thai Primary School as the research object.This book suit for young learners,and has the characters of publishing authority,content is interesting,close to life is the advantages and characteristics of the series of teaching materials,is also the reason of this study selected the set of textbooks as the research object.This study is divided into five parts.Taking literature research method,data statistics method,questionnaire survey method and other research methods as the basic methods,combing the relevant literature and history of illustrations,and introduce the auxiliary role of textbook illustrations in teaching.Then,based on the obtained data,the illustrations in the selected textbooks were analyzed in depth,the advantages and limitations of the selected textbook illustrations were classified,and put forward relevant suggestions.Finally,based on the questionnaire survey and the theoretical basis and conclusions in this study,some suggestions on the selection and utilization of illustrations in Thailand from the perspectives of teaching subjects,local cultural background and illustrations themselves.At the end of this research,there is a summary of the conclusions provide ideas for the illustration research of the future international Chinese primary textbooks,and provide theoretical help for the illustrations to assist the international Chinese teaching.
