The research objects in the thesis are some coursebooks like Developing Chinese( Elementary Comprehensive Course I, the second edition) published by Beijing Language University Publishing House in July, 2011 and Boya Chinese(Elementary, the second edition)published by Peking University Publishing House in April, 2013 and Compulsory Education Curriculum Standards Chinese Textbooks for Students of Grade One in Primary School(Volumes 1 and 2) published by Hebei Education Publishing House. Through statistics data and comparation, the thesis mainly researches similarities and differences of Pinyin(or phonetic transcription) and written Chinese characters between Elementary Comprehensive Teaching Chinese as a Second Language(TCSL for short) Coursebook and Chinese textbook for students of Grade One in primary school. Comparing the two coursebooks, the thesis explores if primary Chinese textbooks for students of Grade One in primary school, they can bring some new ideas to TCSL Coursebooks. Thus, it’ll be helpful for Chinese learners to improve their learning interests and efficiency and to improve the quality of teaching Chinese as a second language.
