The 13th Nationalart Exhibition Watercolor Painting Localtheme Works Research

In the context of the rapid development of today’s society,China has always attached great importance to traditional national spirit and local culture.In this paper,based on the concept of watercolor paintings with local themes,whether local theme watercolor artists like to use expressionist techniques to construct the picture was studied,the background of watercolor paintings with local themes in China and the West was discussed and the factors that promote its development were analyzed.This article focuses on the 13 th National Watercolor Exhibition area,and compares the watercolor exhibition area with the previous exhibition area and the pastel exhibition area,the overall distribution of their works was summarized and systematically analyzed from the perspective of local themes.At the same time as the National High Frequency Exhibition,the themes of Chinese native water paintings are increasingly appearing in the Chinese painting circle.However,from the perspective of time,after the9 th National Fine Arts Exhibition at the end of the 20 th century,artists’ attention to watercolor paintings with local themes lacked sensitivity,ideology,innovation,cultural metaphor and deep sense of life experience,thus leading to the dynamic phenomenon of unstable number of works in previous National Fine Arts Exhibitions.In response to this situation,the methods of survey research,interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary methodology,case comparative analysis,quantitative analysis and summary and inductive thinking were used,and the contents of the watercolor paintings with local themes were organized.It was concluded that most of the contents describe the magnificent atmosphere of the new era and new journey,including the local environmental characteristics and the main body of farmers’ life,shaping the rich and colorful life of the people,and presenting the cultural style and historical evolution.In addition,the painting way of presenting diversified forms and languages in the watercolor paintings with local themes with examples,and on this basis,the watercolor paintings with local themes of the 13 th National Fine Arts Exhibition were studied to explore the existing phenomena and reasons for their development,expound their key concerns in the development and the needs of the times,and affirm the practical significance of their persistence and innovation.It is hoped to enable the traditional cultural spirit,humanistic spirit and local culture of the nation to continue to be inherited and innovated,and provide theoretical basis,new ideas and directions for the creation of contemporary local watercolor paintings through this study.
