| The structure of "you bei X dao" has a high frequency of use on online platforms,rich semantics,and prominent pragmatic functions.This article starts from the theory of three planes and uses a research method that combines qualitative and quantitative analysis,description and interpretation,synchronicity and diachrony,and investigation and analysis to examine the identity and constituent components,syntactic semantic and pragmatic features,popularity and development trends of the popular phrase "you bei X dao".In terms of identifying the identity of popular words in the structure and analyzing their constituent components,based on clarifying relevant concepts,this paper demonstrates the box filled network popular word identity and its popular characteristics with the structure of"you bei X dao".Analyzing structural components,the term "you" is a commentary adverb with subjective confirmation function,which has the function of expressing the generalized"perfect aspect";"bei" can be used as an auxiliary word and preposition based on the appearance of the triggering component,and in practical use,it tends to be used more as an auxiliary word;"dao"is a dynamic auxiliary word that represents the category of "aspect",mainly used to indicate the completion of actions or states and produce results;The variable"X" is mainly composed of monosyllabic and disyllabic words,mainly served by verbs and adj ectives.In terms of syntactic and semantic features of the structure,"you bei X dao" can serve as a subject,predicate,object,and other syntactic components in a sentence,or can be used separately.In terms of sentence type distribution,it is mainly distributed in declarative sentences,exclamatory sentences,and interrogative sentences,and often co-occurs with adverbs,interjections,emoticons,and the same structure to enhance language momentum.In terms of semantics,the structure of "you bei X dao" mainly represents emotional attitude meaning,judgment and evaluation meaning,and some can also represent physiological perception meaning and event narrative meaning,which has subjectivity,novelty,and complexity in semantics.In terms of pragmatic features of structure:The main feature of structure in context is to fit the inter sentence context and the accompanying context.The former is reflected in the ellipsis of the subject,while the latter is reflected in its frequent use in online language styles,especially in online titles.In discourse,it has the functions of discourse leadership,discourse cohesion,and discourse summarization.In language use,it has four major functions:subjective expression,expected deviation,highlighting emphasis,and captioning.In terms of the popularity and development trend of the structure:Firstly,the popularity process of the "you bei X dao" structure was analyzed.The number of structural corpora,the number of "X" words,and the number of parts of speech continued to increase,and the productivity of the structure continued to improve.Secondly,it is analyzed that its formation is influenced by the internal balance analogy,blending,and frequency mechanism of language,as well as external factors of Cantonese,Hong Kong,and Taiwan dialects.Based on the questionnaire survey,this paper analyzes the awareness and use of the structure.It is believed that the popularity of the structure is influenced by two internal reasons,namely,language memes,the structure’s own characteristics,and two external reasons,namely,the user’s psychological needs and the network platform’s boost.The use of the structure in daily spoken English will be further enhanced in the future,but it is difficult to enter the oral and written language systems in more formal occasions. |
