| When "Gou(够)" is combined with some nouns,it shows some remarkable specificities,such as the noun is descriptive rather than referential,and the overall semantic of "Gou(够)+N" is not transparent,so it has high research value.Guided by the theory of three planes,this paper makes a detailed and in-depth investigation of the syntactic,semantic and pragmatic features of "Gou(够)+N" structure by combining quantitative and qualitative methods,form and meaning,and description and explanation.This paper is divided into five parts:In the "introduction" part,the origin,research status,research content and research methods are explained respectively.The first chapter analyzes the component properties and syntactic functions of the structure of "Gou(够)+N"."Gou(够)" in the construction is a verb,meaning "up to a certain level or standard";The "N" in the structure is de-categorized and loses some typical features of the archetypal noun.The syntactic function of structure is rich.It is used as predicate and attributive in most cases,and can also be used as object,complement,subject and clause in complex sentence.The second chapter mainly describes and explains the semantics of "Gou(够)+N" structure,including the semantic characteristics of "N" and the overall structural meaning.The semantic characteristics of "N" are mainly reflected in the following aspects: descriptive semantics,and the semantic characteristics of the noun themselves are the internal cause of this phenomenon;Neutral "N" has semantic deviation,which is the concrete manifestation of semantic impregnation.In the qualitative measure,exceed the social average.The combination of "Gou(够)" and "N" is actually a combination of semantic features."Gou(够)" plays a guiding role in the semantic presentation of "N",and "N" must have some semantic commonality in harmony with "Gou(够)".The structural meaning of "Gou(够)+N" is that the speaker makes a subjective evaluation on a certain attribute of the object of speech,and thinks that this attribute exceeds the general degree and reaches a high degree of the nature state of N.In addition,this paper also compares the semantics of "Gou(够)+N" and "Hen(很)+N".The third chapter explores the pragmatic function and pragmatic value of the structure of "Gou(够)+N".In terms of pragmatic function,the focus of the structure and the scope of its applicable style are investigated.It is usually the focus information that the speaker wants to focus on,and it mainly appears as the natural focus.In speech flow,the focus content can be highlighted by the way of stress.It is most frequently used in spoken language,but it is also used in written language.The pragmatic value of "Gou(够)+N" is mainly reflected in the following aspects:making up for the gaps and deficiencies of the existing expressions;Concise expression,at the same time contains rich information;Implicit and euphemistic,it can give the final judgment right of the speaker’s evaluation position to the listener or the reader.The last part of the conclusion,a general summary of the content of the article,and pointed out the main shortcomings of the research. |
