| Academic procrastination refers to the behavior that procrastinators unreasonably delay academic tasks in learning situations.At the same time,this behavior will cause procrastinators to have negative emotions such as depression and anxiety.With the continuous development of mobile communication technology,mobile learning has become one of the essential learning methods for contemporary college students because of its autonomy,efficiency and mobility.However,in the process of mobile learning,most college students,on the one hand,lack learning objectives and learning strategies due to the lack of supervision and guidance from teachers and parents,on the other hand,are vulnerable to the diversified and fragmented network environment,delaying the start or completion of academic tasks.In view of the universality of college students’ academic procrastination in the context of mobile learning and the harmfulness of the consequences of procrastination,it is of great practical significance to study and explore effective intervention methods of procrastination.Previous studies on academic procrastination intervention mostly focused on offline group counseling,which was less universal,the intervention program was not targeted and the intervention method was more mandatory.Therefore,it is of great theoretical significance to enrich and expand the theoretical research on academic procrastination intervention.From the perspective of persuasive design,this paper tries to put forward persuasive strategies and schemes to improve academic procrastination,and use mobile communication equipment to provide new ideas for the intervention research of procrastination.This topic consists of three parts:theoretical research,persuasive intervention design and effectiveness experiment.In the first part of the theoretical research stage,the related concepts of mobile learning,academic procrastination and persuasive design are studied and combed through literature analysis,and the existing intervention methods of academic procrastination and the main design models of persuasive design are summarized.The second part of the persuasive intervention design stage first explored the causes of college students’ procrastination in the context of mobile learning through user research,and screened out five kinds of procrastination intervention methods according to the causes of procrastination.Secondly,the persuasion design was combined with the procrastination intervention methods to 28 kinds of persuasive strategies,such as reduction and tunneling.Finally,the persuasive strategy was applied to the design practice of procrastination intervention products.In the third part,the effectiveness experiment stage,28 persuasive strategies were scored by questionnaire survey,111 valid questionnaires were collected,and the authority persuasive strategy were selected for the effectiveness experiment of persuasive strategies.The experiment took WeChat as the platform to study 24 college students for one week.The procrastination tendency of the treatment group decreased significantly after the one-week experiment.By contrast,the procrastination tendency of the control group did not change significantly.The results show that the combination of persuasive design and procrastination intervention can reduce the procrastination tendency of college students.The research of this subject explored a new direction for the intervention of procrastination behavior,but only verified the improvement of procrastination tendency by combining persuasive design with procrastination intervention method,not verified the improvement of procrastination behavior.And the experimental research part is only implemented in a certain course of a university,and the intervention time is 1 week.Future research can also explore the ecological validity of the academic procrastination intervention program proposed in this study in different courses,as well as the time characteristics of the intervention effect and the intervention effect by intervening in different courses and different universities,extending the time of the intervention experiment,and studying the subject of procrastination behavior. |
