| The Miao people in Guizhou have bred many traditional arts and crafts,such as batik,embroidery,paper-cutting,silver ornaments and so on.It not only has practical functions,but also has cultural symbolic significance to meet the needs of their spiritual life.If these traditional arts and crafts are likened to a special memory container,then the patterns of the Miao ethnic group in Guizhou are a special language.It is silent but more vivid,more intuitive and more thorough.The deep and mysterious cultural heritage of the Miao ethnic group is reflected in these majestic patterns.Starting from theoretical research and practical research,this paper further explores the feasibility of combining Guizhou Miao patterns with ceramic decoration design.The content is divided into four parts.The first part is based on the field investigation and online investigation of Kaili City,Leishan County and surrounding Miao villages in Guizhou to determine the research direction,and sort out the research purpose and significance,research status and research ideas.The second part introduces the origin and development of the patterns of the Miao ethnic group in Guizhou,and classifies,summarizes and analyzes their shape,color,implication and artistic characteristics.The third part is also the practical part of this project.The work selects the classic pattern elements of the Miao ethnic group as the main elements of this ceramic decoration design creation,refines,summarizes,decomposes and reconstructs them,and uses ceramics such as underglaze color,blue and white,colored glaze,etc.Decorative techniques are used for artistic expression,and finally,the author’s understanding of the patterns of the Miao ethnic group in Guizhou is displayed in the form of murals and ornaments in the series of ceramic works of "The So-called Patterns of Guizhou".Adhering to the concept of dissemination and innovation,this research and creation aims to provide more feasibility for the redesign of the Miao patterns in Guizhou. |
