Nowadays,the aging process in China is accelerating obviously.How to improve the happiness of the elderly has become an important issue concerned by all sectors of society.The development of education for the elderly is an important way to promote active aging.The elderly also show enthusiasm for participating in re-education activities,which greatly promotes the happiness of this part of the elderly group.Participation in social activities is beneficial to physically health,mentally health and the social networks of the elderly.Through participation in learning,the elderly can realize the ideal of doing something for old age,obtain emotional support and recognition from others,and mobilize their own psychological resources to better cope with the difficulties brought by aging while strengthening the sense of belonging.To promote the elderly self-fulfilling happiness,namely psychological happiness.Therefore,based on this social situation,this study deeply discusses the influence of the elderly’s participation in learning on their psychological well-being,and includes the sense of belonging and psychological capital as mediating variables into the relationship between them,to explore the mechanism of the two mediating the process of the elderly’s participation in learning and the improvement of happiness.In this study,the Questionnaire on Learning Participation of the Elderly,the Scale of Belonging,the Positive Psychological Capital Questionnaire and the Comprehensive Well-being Questionnaire were respectively adopted,and 507 elderly people aged 50-80 were selected as the survey objects.To explore the relationship among participants in learning,the sense of belonging,psychological capital and psychological well-being,and the mechanism of the sense of belonging and psychological capital.Among the findings:(1)There are significant differences among the demographic variables in the elderly’s participation in learning,the level of belonging,the level of psychological capital and the level of psychological well-being.(2)There is a pound-for-pair positive correlation between the elderly’s participation in learning and their psychological well-being,their sense of belonging and their psychological capital.(3)Psychological capital was a mediator in the relationship between elderly’s participation in learning and psychological well-being;The sense of belonging and psychological capital play a chain mediating role in the influence of the elderly’s participation in learning on psychological well-being,and there are two mediating effects: participation in learning--psychological capital--psychological well-being;The approach of participation learning--belonging--psychological capital--psychological happiness.(4)The chain mediation model of belonging and psychological capital between learning participation and psychological well-being of the elderly is applicable to both male and female groups,but there are significant gender differences in the path coefficient of the model. |
