This paper takes the social relations of the capitalists of the Sinopharm in Shanghai from 1927 to 1937 as the research topic.Specifically,we will discuss the interaction process between the Shanghai Sinopharm trade association and authorities,Chambers of commerce and Chinese medicine community. This paper attempts to sort out the Shanghai Sinopharm trade association’s living background, the Republic of China from the dimensions of government-business relations, social organizations, and industry ecology, explore the behavioral logic of Sinopharm’s capitalists in complex social networks, and combine previous achievements to further deepen the academia awareness of Sinopharm Knowledge and research. From the point of view of the relationship between government and business,it was a deeper incentive and driving force for the social relationship of the Shanghai Sinopharm trade association in China. It was worth noting that in most cases, the relationship between government and business was not completely in the state of "absolute obedience",but showed the characteristics of mutual compromise between the two sides; From the perspective of social organizations, the Shanghai Sinopharm trade association had a relatively close relationship with the Shanghai Chamber of Commerce. After the authorities deliberately weakened the relationship between chambers of commerce and trade associations, the social influence and organizational cohesion of the chambers of commerce were greatly affected. Therefore, the chamber of commerce and the capitalists of the Sinopharm in Shanghai gradually formed an alliance and cooperation relationship in this context: on the one hand, the chamber of commerce needed the support of the trade association to maintain the cohesion of the organization; On the other hand, trade associations also needed to use the bargaining power of chambers of commerce to realize their own interests; From the perspective of industry ecology,as a close partner of the capitalists of the Sinopharm in Shanghai, the Chinese medical circles in Shanghai has always maintained close business ties with the capitalists of the Sinopharm during the long development process.Especially after the "abolition of traditional Chinese medicine" case in the 1930 s,external pressure had prompted the two sides to gradually form more extensive and in-depth cooperation outside the medical business field,so as to seek to enhance their voice of political decision-making.
