International Chinese education not only undertakes the educational function of imparting Chinese language knowledge,but also carries the important historical mission of spreading Chinese culture and displaying Chinese image.Through cultural communication and exchange,the world can learn about China and build a bridge of friendship between China and other countries.In the course of the development of international Chinese education,there is a phenomenon that language teaching is emphasized to a certain extent,while cultural communication is neglected.The thought of "Cultural confidence" is of great significance to the international promotion and cultural communication of Chinese in China,points out the direction for Chinese culture to "go abroad" in the new era.Guided by the thought of cultural confidence,embedding cultural confidence into the whole process of cultural teaching in international Chinese education,telling China’s stories well and making China’s voice heard.Based on the analysis of the era connotation and value implication of the thought of cultural self-confidence,combining with the development status of cultural communication in international Chinese education,this paper analyzes the existing problems of cultural communication in international Chinese education:attaching importance to language but neglecting culture;Single cultural selection;Enrich the content of cultural teaching;shortage of teachers.From the perspective of cultural self-confidence,this paper expounds that international Chinese education and cultural communication should do the following:telling China’s stories well and make the other countries like Chinese culture;Show China’s achievements enthusiastically and let the world know the Chinese spirit;Construct a scientific international Chinese education standard system;beauty represents itself with diversity and integrity,building a bridge of cultural communication.This paper discusses the strategies to improve the cultural teaching efficiency of international Chinese education:first,strengthen the international Chinese education practitioners’ sense of identity,pride and mission to Chinese culture;Second,carefully select the content of international Chinese education and cultural communication,and attract students with rich cultural content;Use various cultural forms to stimulate students’enthusiasm;Organize interactive experiential activities and let students participate in them;Third,adhere to the concept of "audience-centered" cultural communication and carry out cultural exchanges and communication according to the national conditions and cultural backgrounds of various countries,strive to improve the appeal of Chinese culture.
