| Since modern times,Western learning has spread to the east,and the cultural exchanges between China and the West have gradually deepened.Chinese society has moved toward modernization in the process of continuous change.At the same time,Shanxi merchants are also facing development and transformation.Under this social background,Shanxi merchants women’s education began to transition from traditional to modern.This paper attempts to use time as a clue to explore the development and evolution of Shanxi merchant women’s education in different historical stages,and analyze its influence,in order to present the whole picture of the development of modern Shanxi merchant women’s education,and explore the development track of modern Shanxi women’s education.The article is divided into four parts.The first part is an introduction to the female education of Shanxi merchants in the late Qing Dynasty.Influenced by factors such as Shanxi’s geographical environment and social customs,the female education of Shanxi merchants in the late Qing Dynasty was dominated by traditional female moral education.With the emergence of church women’s schools and women’s schools,and the support of Shanxi merchants’ strong economic strength,Shanxi merchants set up new-style women’s schools one after another,and their women’s education began to transition to modern times.The second part mainly examines the development of Shanxi merchants’ women’s education in the early period of the Republic of China.Firstly,it analyzes the background of Shanxi merchants women’s education in the early period of the Republic of China from three aspects:the political and economic situation of Shanxi,the social culture and education situation,and the predicament and transformation of Shanxi merchants.Secondly,it expounds the enlightened educational concept of Shanxi merchants and the new development of family women’s studies in this period.Finally,it makes a comprehensive analysis of the school education received by Shanxi merchant women.The third part discusses the changes in the education of Shanxi merchant girls from the end of the Qing Dynasty to the early period of the Republic of China from the perspectives of the family education of Shanxi merchant girls and the school education they received.method improvements.The fourth part is the evaluation of the modern Shanxi merchants women’s education development.First,the development of Shanxi merchants women’s education prompted women to develop independent personalities and move towards society.Secondly,it promotes the development of family business,improves family cultural literacy,and promotes the modernization of family education in Shanxi merchants.In addition,the development of Shanxi merchants women’s education has had a great positive impact on changing social customs and promoting the development of Shanxi women’s education.However,there were also many deficiencies in the process of its development,such as "men are superior to women" and education inequality between men and women,etc.These problems have played a certain role in restricting the physical and mental development of Shanxi merchant women.In a word,through the investigation of modern Shanxi merchant women’s education,the research on Shanxi merchant education is enriched,and at the same time,it provides space for us to think about the current issue of gender equality,and provides experience for the development of women’s education in the new era. |
