A Study On Sun Wu’s Generals And Related Issues

Bamboo slips of wu kingdom unearthed at zoumalou is an important unearthed literature material to study the political,economic and other aspects of the Wei and Jin Dynasties.In various official documents and books of Wu bamboo slips,the main historical figures of the Sunwu period associated with Changsha,such as Lu Xun,Bu Zhi,Pan Jun,and Lv Dai,appeared.The records of Wu bamboo slips can be compared with the existing literature,enriching the understanding of the history of Sunwu.In Wu Jian [Ⅴ] for the first time appeared on Sun Wu general Lu Xun ’ s records,but Lu Xun ’ s official title and ’ Three Kingdoms ’ records are different.Wu Bamboo Slips recorded Lu Xun ’ s status as an envoy.According to the Three Kingdoms·Wushu,Sun Wu widely granted Lu Xun ’ s status as an envoy and gave him power to manage prefectures and counties for major local military and political officials.Lu Xun ’ s leadership of Yingzhou Mu also confirms the records of the establishment of Yingzhou by Wu State in Jiankang Records and Song Books.There are many records about the general ’ s dependent population in Wu bamboo slips,which enrich our understanding of the system of return visit in Sun Wu period.’ Buhou Huanmin ’ and ’ Taichang Hakka ’ are dependent populations of Buzhi and Panjun,respectively.Buhou Huimin was originally due to war and other reasons left Linxiang,returned to their hometown because of nowhere to make a living and choose to depend on the people of Linxiang Houbuzhi.Taichang Hakka is Taichang Pan Jun ’ s private guest,is the embodiment of the Sun Wu period to implement the system of return visit.From the brief article,these private guests of Pan Jun still bear some obligations to the state,but their personal dependence is also increasing.They were held private by the local government,but were not sent out because local officials did not dare to sin against Pan Jun.Thus it can be seen that the struggle between Sun Quan and local generals around the dependent population.The appearance of Sun Wu general Pan Jun and Lv Dai enriched our understanding of the system of land reclamation in Sun Wu period.In addition to paddy fields,paddy fields were widely distributed in Changsha,which were recorded in 11 townships under Linxiang.From the paddy rice slips,we can see that there are many paddy field farmers,including soldiers and Fumin led by Pan Jun and Lv Dai,and local officials and people in Changsha.The paddy fields cultivated by soldiers were probably part of the military camp of the Sun Wu government at that time.The soldiers and their wives cultivated paddy fields and enjoyed preferential tax treatment.From the statistics of paddy fields and the collection of paddy rent,the management of these fields is still responsible for the local government.
