A Study On Marx’s Urban Thought From The Perspective Of Subjectivity | | Posted on:2023-05-23 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:X A Qian | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2555306902963329 | Subject:Marxist philosophy | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | The development of cities needs a survey of the philosophical horizon,and the development of philosophy also needs to focus on the problems of a time.The urban development is an important symbol of modernity.With the development of modern society,the in-depth development of the urbanization process has gradually exposed many problems.The subjective dilemma of the urban development is the focus of the problem to be solved:Human subjectivity has been lost in the process of urban development led by capital logic.The study on Marx’s urban thought from the perspective of subjectivity is not only a theoretical response to the subject dilemma of the urban development,but also a new exploration of the contemporary development of Marxist philosophy.In Marx’s philosophy,subjectivity is a historical category that examines the status of urban development.The dialectic and the historical generative characteristics of subjectivity determine its methodological status in urban studies.Highlighting human development in urban development and the development of human subjectivity is regarded as the standard of urban development.This paper first expounds the inner relationship between urban development and human subjectivity development.By analyzing the background of Marx’s urban thought,this paper reveals the subjectivity logic inherent in Marx’s urban thought.The subjective logic of Marx’s urban thought is based on the revelation of the operation mode of capital logic in urban space reality.The generation of subjective logic is also based on the theoretical analysis of the temporal value of capital and its historical narrowness.This logic is realistically expressed through Marx’s criticism of the metaphysical nature of urban development led by capital logic.The objective power of capital suppresses the development of human subjectivity in reality and the metaphysical abstract power forms the ideological illusion of capital logic at the conceptual level and then dispels human subjectivity.Capital logic and metaphysics defend each other in the urban development."The general labor,The general wealth,The general subjective",is the root of the dilemma.This problem can only be solved in the practical process of human transforming the world.The historical function of city is to promote the objective development of human society and the characteristic will not disappear because of the domination of the logic of capital.Although the development of the city is temporarily dominated by capital logic,the inherent "reflexivity" of capital logic eventually targets itself.Thus,it provides a realistic path for human subjects to"eliminate" division of labor,"eliminate" materialized labor and get out of the subjective predicament in the practice of urban development.The practical process of getting out of the subjective dilemma is also the historical path of mankind from one-sided development to comprehensive development and from the kingdom of necessity to the kingdom of freedom.And from this study,we know that the historical context of China’s urban development is completely different from the "diachronic" context replacement process experienced by developed countries that have completed modernization.The special context of China provides a practical way for the unification of urban development and human subjectivity development in China.This unity is not only reflected in the realistic development path of socialism with Chinese characteristics,but also in the concept of"people-centered" urban development.The new urbanization strategy and the rural revitalization strategy show that subjectivity will be "revived" and developed accordingly in the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Marx, City thought, Subjectivity, Capital logic | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
