After the founding of the People’s Republic of China,Supply and Marketing Cooperatives have made important contributions in opening up channels for the exchange of materials between urban and rural areas and serving the country’s industrialization development.The research object of this paper is the history of the establishment and operation of Baoji Supply and Marketing Cooperatives supported by the leadership of the Communist Party of China from 1949 to 1965.It tries to interpret the achievements and existing problems of Baoji Supply and Marketing Cooperatives in the process of establishment and operation.This can provide historical reference for the reform and development of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives in the new era.Based on a systematic review of the theoretical origins of the Chinese Communist Party’s establishment of supply and marketing cooperation,this paper focuses on the development of the Chinese Communists’ thoughts on "cooperation" and the historical practice of the Chinese Communist Party’s establishment of "cooperatives" before the founding of New China.The historical background of Baoji City’s establishment of supply and marketing cooperatives is briefly described,which provides a realistic basis for the study of the preparation and operation of Baoji City’s supply and marketing cooperatives from 1949 to 1965.After the founding of New China,the period from 1949 to 1952 was the preparatory period for the establishment of Baoji Supply and Marketing Cooperatives.,the establishment of Baoji Supply and Marketing Cooperatives mainly involves the personnel composition,institutional setting and establishment,system construction,etc.It was the operation and development period of Baoji Supply and Marketing Cooperatives from 1953 to 1965 after the preparation was completed.During this period,Baoji Supply and Marketing Cooperatives has gone through three different stages of development,but on the whole,it has basically completed the tasks delivered by the state and provided convenient services for the people in rural areas of Baoji.However,it is undeniable that there were many problems in the preparation and operation of Baoji Supply and Marketing Cooperatives from 1949 to 1965.The existence of such problems also hinders the effectiveness of the preparation and operation of Baoji Supply and Marketing Cooperatives.Therefore,"learn from the rise and fall of previous lives,and think about the gains and losses of the present." The achievements,deficiencies and experience of Baoji Supply and Marketing Cooperatives from 1949 to 1965 can provide historical reference for the Communist Party of China to lead and promote the reform and development of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives in the new era.These can also ensure that the Supply and Marketing Cooperatives would put the service for agricultural development in the first place.In addition,it provided convenient,affordable,safe and high-quality services for farmers in key fields and links such as agricultural material supply,agricultural product circulation and rural services.
