| In recent years,with the development of economic globalization and the internationalization of higher education,the education of foreign students in China has made great progress.The PBL mode has a long history of development,but the research on the application of PBL to the education of studying in China is relatively scarce.As a compulsory course for international students in China,Understanding China is of great significance for international students to understand China and integrate into the Chinese environment.Although PBL has made many attempts and achieved remarkable results in the field of second language teaching,there are only a few researches on the application of PBL mode in the field of Chinese teaching to foreigners,especially in the field of cultural teaching.Therefore,this study tries to carry on the teaching practice research,applies the PBL teaching mode in Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology to the teaching of Understanding China,the national situation culture course for the international students,and takes the China’s Population chapter as an example to introduce the concrete operation process in detail,finally carries on the interview survey to the students and teachers,understands their attitude to the PBL mode.This study concludes that the PBL mode has significant teaching outcomes and high overall student satisfaction based on feedback from students and teachers.Compared with the teacher-oriented teaching mode,students prefer the learning atmosphere of PBL teaching mode and have higher subjective initiative in the learning process.It is hoped that this paper will enrich the research content of PBL teaching mode in Understanding China course and provide reference for other colleges and universities that offer Understanding China course. |
