On the background of the continuous development of the aviation industry,ultrahigh temperature alloy materials,as one of the important candidate materials for hot end components of the next generation of aero-engines,have become the key research objects.Therefore,more and more research papers are related to them.Besides,the English translation of such articles has also become an important part of translation studies.This thesis is a practice report on the English translation of “research progress on Nb-Si-based superalloy and its directional solidification process”.Under the guidance of the interpretive theory,the author has translated the original text into English and analyzed and summarized the translation process,and discussed the issue of “how to use the interpretive theory to achieve the accurate translation of words,sentences and text.Under the guidance of the interpretive theory,the translation practice report combines the translation methods of amplification and omission,combination,synonym cohesion,logical word cohesion and other translation methods to translate the source language version,which can achieve accurate translation of chemical terms,clear translation of complex sentences and smooth translation of the whole article.The author hopes that the translation practice report can provide a reference for the translation of materials chemistry texts,so as to reduce the reading difficulty of chemistry material papers,enable readers to better obtain information and assist in the dissemination of research results in this field. |
