A Comparative Study On The Structure History Of "等(Deng)" In Chinese And Korean

Based on the theories of comparative,contrastive,contact linguistics and other discipline theories.This paper probes into the historical development traits and the correlation of "等" in Chinese and Korean,which means "plural" and "enumeration".Combined with the Chinese translation of Buddhist scriptures,the characteristics and the reasons for the correlation are discussed.The research of this paper adopts the method of combining synchronic and diachronic,and the concrete steps to which are: synchronic description-synchronic comparison-diachronic description-diachronic comparison-synchronic and diachronic combination.On this basis,this paper is divided into seven chapters,which are as follows:The first chapter is the introduction.Firstly,it introduces the reason for choosing the topic and the process of selecting the research object,and clarifies the time of the content and the corpus used.Therefore,this paper discusses the current research status in China and Korea in relation to the topic,explains the existing problems,and describes the purpose and significance of this study.In addition,this chapter examines the theoretical basis upon which this article is based,as well as the specific research methods under the guidance of that theoretical basis.In the second chapter,the background of the research and the history of the content involved in this paper are summarized.The material in this paper examines the development of Chinese and Korean,the contact between Chinese and Korean,and the spread of Buddhism in the context of Chinese-Korean contact.In this chapter,we summarize the contact situation between China and Korea in a particular period of Korean language history-the time of "Korean loanword transcription".As a means of laying a foundation for later language research,it describes the spread and translation of Buddhism in China and on the Korean Peninsula.The third chapter,based on the authoritative dictionaries of China and Korea,first shows the nature and significance of modern Korean " (?) " and Chinese " 等 " in dictionaries.It is determined that "(?)" as affix and dependent noun as well as "等" as particle have the function of expressing "plurality" and "enumeration" that " (?)" as affix and dependent noun as well as "等" as particle have the function of expressing "plurality" and "enumeration.".Due to such a case,a synchronic comparison is made between "(?)" and "等".This paper compares and contrasts the grammaticalization processes of " (?) " and " 等 ",identifying both similarities and differences in the development process,and based on that,puts forward a series of problems that can only be described but cannot be explained by a synchronic comparison.These problems establish the foundation for the following development.The fourth chapter sorts out the development history of the Chinese and Korean language "等" with time as the axis,and further establishes the historical correlation between them.The development of Chinese "等" mainly refers to the data of CCL corpus in Peking University,by sorting out and clarifying the evolution time node and evolution path of the meaning of Chinese " 等 ",it further clarifies the grammaticalization process constructed in Chapter 3.The development of the Korean language "(?)" is mainly based on the data of the written form in Chinese characters in the ancient Korean period and the early medieval Korean period.Thus,since this chapter,all references to "(?)" have been changed to "等"(the written form in Chinese characters of "(?)").By combining the development of Korean "等",the characteristics and changes of Korean "等" from the ancient Korean period to the early medieval Korean period are clarified.The fifth chapter combines the synchronic problems put forward in the third chapter and the historical development characteristics of "等" in Chinese and Korean determined in the fourth chapter,and resolves many complications in the historical development process of "等" in Chinese and Korean,which only have phenomenon description but lack of explanation.Through answering the questions individually,the reasoning behind the questions are clarified.The most important one is the influence of the Chinese translation of Buddhist scriptures,Therefore,the contents discussed in this chapter mainly focus on the interaction between Chinese and Korean and the influence of Chinese Buddhist scriptures on Chinese and Korean.The sixth chapter,is the heart of integrating the previous articles,combined with previous theories and studies,explains the problems related to the category of "plural" in modern linguistics reflected in the historical development of "等" in Chinese and Korean,and tries to shine the light historical occurrences from a modern perspective.The seventh chapter summarizes the research contents and conclusions of this paper.For the reason that this paper is a preliminary attempt in many aspects,there are still many shortcomings.This chapter also summarizes the inadequacies and attempts to put forward the ideas for future research.
