Prelude and Fugue in D Minor is the last and largest of Shostakovich’s Twenty-four Preludes and Fugues(Op.87),and is the climax of the whole set.This paper takes prelude and Fugue in D minor as the research object,studies the creation techniques of the work,and analyzes the ontological structures of prelude and fugue respectively.According to the structural and stylistic characteristics of the work,the performance of this work is further interpreted,through the characteristics of touching keys,the use of physical strength,the use of pedals,to help piano players correctly master the different performance methods of each part of the work,to better interpret the complex and contradictory emotions of the whole work.
