period,becoming a microcosm of the development of contemporary literary history.From the scar literature that accuses the "Cultural Revolution" to the life novel that pays attention to reality,to the cultural reflection novel that criticizes traditional culture and the series of novels that go deep into the folk,Feng Jicai has always carried out historical reflection and cultural reflection in the novel.After the 1990 s,the focus of his career shifted to cultural protection,as the chairman of the Folk Writers Association,Feng Jicai presided over the rescue project of Chinese folk cultural heritage,and carried out large-scale rescue and protection of China’s marginalized folk customs and ancient villages,which is of great significance to the inheritance of Folk Culture in China.During this period,novel writing gradually decreased,and prose became a position for him to reflect and express social thinking.From the ruthless criticism of traditional culture in the early 1980 s and the advocacy of modernist literature,to the appreciation of Western culture in travelogue prose,to the return to folk and local in field prose,Feng Jicai’s different creations have formed a tension,and his cultural position seems to have been changing,which seems to be contradictory,but also provides a possibility for us to study his cultural thinking.Feng Jicai constantly thinks about the current cultural dilemma in literary creation and in the government and the public,looking for space to speak,which has also become a personal feature of his creation.The current research lacks the overall study of Feng Jicai’s prose,Feng Jicai’s literary creation and cultural activities are ideologically consistent,so it is necessary to link prose creation with novel creation and cultural activities to investigate the evolution of Feng Jicai’s cultural thought,to explore the uniqueness and value of his prose in the history of contemporary literature.In addition to the introduction,this article is divided into three parts: the first part sorts out the situation of Feng Jicai’s prose creation,discusses the era background of Feng Jicai’s prose writing and the driving force of personal prose creation.Feng Jicai’s prose presents the characteristics of stages,and the use of prose style in writing is also casual and natural,reflecting the consciousness of stylistic self-consciousness.Feng Jicai’s creative activities are closely related to the social background,paying attention to the development trend of the times and the problems that arise in society,and conveying his ideas in
