The Study Of Zhenyizhai Poetics By Li Chonghua

Li Chonghua is an important poetical theorist in Jiangnan area in Qing Dynasty,and Zhenyizhai Poetics is his important poetical theoretical work.This paper,based on Zhenyizhai Poetics,demonstrates the core and unique value of Li Chonghua’s poetics from the aspects of his life experience,poetic background,poetic creation theory,poetic development concept and his poetics characteristics from a comparative perspective.Li Chonghua was fond of traveling and making friends with scholars.The thoughts of Zhang Dashou,Zhu Yizun and Shen Deqian had influences to his poetics.The poetics and Neo-confucianism of Ming Dynasty also had a certain influence on him.In the poem Of Zhenyizhai,Li Chonghua constructed an artistic expression system centered on "yi",and limited "yi" to the Confucian "liuyi",making it closely connected with Confucian ethics and morality.In terms of ideology,Li Chonghua regarded Confucianism as an ideological weapon,integrated Confucian classics into poetics,and promoted poetics to develop in the direction of theory and socialization.According to the concept of "yazheng",he intended to eliminate the negative influence of the theory of restoring ancient ways and the atmosphere of imitation in the Ming Dynasty,and introduced the poetry of the Qing Dynasty to the right way of development.In addition,Li Chonghua advocated the concept of poetry development of "sunrise and new day,independent",and maintained a neutral attitude in the debate of Tang and Song poetry.He inherited Ye Xie’s poetic theory and was forward-looking.But compared with Yuan Mei,his poetics theory is relatively conservative.Li Chonghua’s poetics criticized the poetics of Ming Dynasty represented by the theory of restoring ancient ways,cleared away the obstacles and promoted the benign development of the poetics of the Qing Dynasty.
