| Starting with many of David Hockney’s own books and his works,this paper explores indepth why David Hockney has developed with the times for decades and has become one of the evergreen trees in the art world.Specifically,this paper focuses on interpreting David Hockney’s artworks from two perspectives.One is the combination and utilization of colors,and the other is the expression of space.At the same time,this paper explores David Hockney’s works in depth by fully combining the changes in the development of the arts of the times.Chapter 1 introduces David Hockney’s personal career and pop art and Hockney’s art style.Chapter 2 studies Hockney’s characteristics of color expression.Hockney color expression features are largely outlined by color rhythm,creative application of advertising colors,and operation of expressive decorative colors,and discussions on new paints that played a major role in his color management in the early and mid-term.It also analyze Hockney’s most respected artist Picasso’s<Blue Age>and<Hockney Blue>which is Hockney’s most noticeable feature color.Chapter 3 is about spatial expression,which is a characteristic of Hockney painting,avoiding traditional Western painting perspective,three-dimensional expression experiments through early paintings such as flat perspective and photo collage,multi-focus perspective through Chinese scroll painting,and the creation of a bigger painting that is over12 meter long. |
