Typography From Paper Media Which Take Magazines As An Example To Digital Media

At present,the proportion of digital media in people’s life is getting higher and higher.Paper,which used to be the carrier of typography,is facing a weak situation.However,many typography methods and ideas emerging in paper media deserve to be summarized,inherited and developed,and are still of great significance in the digital media environment.The author chooses magazines as the representative of paper media,fully excavates and summarizes the ideas of typography,and differentiates the differences of media,so as to obtain the reference and inspiration under the new media environment.First of all,the author analyzes the typography of magazine cover,guide page and inside page,mainly by paper media and supplemented by digital media,studies typical cases,and excavates the rich characteristics and highlights of the three types of typography.Secondly,in chapters three and four,the author deconstructs the similarities and differences and development of typography in digital media by referring to Willberg’s analysis of reading mode.The differences between the two media are analyzed and the text fonts are discussed in more detail.Finally,based on the analysis of the previous chapters,the author expounds the enlightenment of the magazine’s typography to digital media,and puts forward three design strategies:using typography to enhance the unity and richness of digital media brands,using flexible layout to enrich reading experience,and adapting font and content more accurately.In the creation of graduation design,the author carried out visual design and layout design with the method of typography,presented and practiced the contents of the paper and the ideas proposed in the article.
