| Post colonialism is a school of cultural and literary criticism that flourished widely in western academia in the 1970 s.At first,it focused on the discourse of the relationship between the former suzerain and the colonies, which had a great impact on literary criticism and literary history. The meaning of post colonialism generally refers to the end of colonialism in time. The controversy in academic circles is that if colonialism is a kind of political and economic inequality,at least in today’s world, the so-called colonialism has not disappeared. In addition, there is an uncertainty in the connotation of postcolonial, which makes it always integrate with contemporary ethnic, racial, subculture and even hot events, which also makes the expression of its theory have extensive inclusiveness, which is also reflected in postcolonial art. When discussing postcolonial relations, the postcolonial theorist Homi K.Bhabha described a concept of "third space",which created a negotiation space outside the binary opposition in the expression of culture and art,and showed the mixed zone of individual and group differences. This paper attempts to sort out the concepts of several representative postcolonial theorists, and confirm the existence of "third space" in artistic expression by enumerating the embodiment of postcolonial theory in different times and ways of expression in art.Under the situation of opposition and conflict, postcolonial art adds a new perspective to art from the perspective of artistic narration and the unity of cultural opposition with extensive inclusiveness and hybridity. The purpose of this paper is to explore the hybridity embodied in postcolonial art,and elaborate its significance and related thinking in the artistic expression in the contemporary language. |
