| The fonts in the Western 1960s psychedelic posters have a unique artistic charm and meaning,and the diversity of fonts in visual style can draw people’s attention more,and they are conveying people’ s emotions while strengthening people’s memories.In terms of artistic style,the fonts inherit the decorative styles of many schools,and blend Art Nouveau,Pop Art and Light Effect Art together;in terms of text reading,the fonts in psychedelic posters subvert the legibility of the text,and are a new visual form and conceptual approach.The research theme of this paper is the typeface design in psychedelic posters in the sixties,through literature research,case study analysis and comparative induction,etc.,to understand the theme of the selection and combination of elements in psychedelic posters,firstly,in-depth analysis of the western sixties era,political phenomenon,hippie culture,etc.to explore the relationship between typeface and image,typeface arrangement,color matching,aesthetic trends in psychedelic posters,etc.,to Secondly,we analyze the relationship between typeface design and "visual residue",the principle of splash screen and"shape constants",and explore the main reasons for the illusion of typeface in psychedelic posters.This paper is divided into four parts,the first part explains the concept and background of psychedelic posters and font design;the second part analyzes the formation and development of font style and establishes and improves the visual characteristics and laws of fonts;the third part summarizes the design methods of fonts,the influence of "shape constants" and visual illusion performance;the fourth part explores The fourth part explores the glyph changes and visual forms of "psychedelic fonts",looks for ways to create visual illusions in graphic design under the influence of new media,explores the future development trend of diversified fonts,and tries to innovate and practice in the original form.The purpose of this paper is to explore and create a broader space for typeface design by combining modern design to open up a richer dimension of perception. |
