Regional Research On Public Ar

Regionality is the embodiment of a city’s spirit and the continuation of a city’s history.Public art is a carrier that can convey the spirit of the city.Only by reasonably combining public art with regionality can we inherit and develop regional culture,that is,the spirit and essence of the city.It can also make the city’s public art design truly integrate into the local natural and cultural environment.This paper further clarifies the regional concept and category of public art,and reflects the value and significance of the research by analyzing the problems existing in the current public art in displaying regional culture.Second,by comparing the public art works of Shanghai and Nanjing,we can show their excellent experience in history,war memory,cultural gene and urban spirit.It provides theoretical support for the regional design of public art and design reference for the practice of public art design.Third,explore the role of regionality in public art,and summarize the regional design methods and basic ideas of public art.Regional public art can embody the historical context,war memory,cultural gene and the spirit of the times,and reproduce the history and culture of the city.It can also protect and inherit the historical context and help arouse people’s attention,research and attention to regionality.Public art design should respect regional cultural characteristics and provide beneficial theoretical exploration and design practice for the development of regional public art.
