"Three-voiced-Tune" is a tone composed of three different notes. The three-tone tone is the basis for the composition and development of the melody of folk songs. In the 1980s,Yang Kuangmin carried out research on the Three-voiced-Tune of Hubei folk songs, and then the research on the Three-voiced-Tune shape of Traditional Chinese music gradually deepened.Subsequent scholars applied this theory to the folk song research of other regions or ethnic groups.Jiujiang city,Jiangxi province, which is across the river from Hubei Province, has many Three-voiced-Tune in its folk songs. Therefore, this phenomenon should be paid attention to.The research of Three-voiced-Tune in Jiujiang folk songs needs to start from "what is" and "why".What is the characteristic of the Three-voiced-Tune of Jiujiang folk song in musical form? Yang Kuangmin’s "melody analysis of Three-voiced-Tune" should be adopted. At the same time, the morphology analysis should refer to the theories of core tune, simplification and reduction. At the same time, the characteristics of geographical distribution of different types of Three-voiced-Tune and their related musical factors(way of cavity, mode, etc.)can be visualized with the help of relevant software of geographic information technology.Nowadays, with the development of geographic information technology(GIS),music elements can be displayed by visual means,so as to make an intuitive judgment on the correlation between music and geographical and humanistic factors. With the help of this empirical scientific and technological means, the shortcomings of judging by subjective feelings are greatly made up.Based on the above analysis of jiujiang folk songs in three-tone music form characteristics,we should consider its "why",which needs to be combined with the geographical and cultural context of Jiujiang to analyze and explain.Jiujiang history for its "thorough fares of nine provinces" and "the north-south hub" location, linjiang lakeside and the low hills far-flung geomorphic environment, mix the jianghuai mandarin and dialect of the province, the geographical cultural factors will inevitably affect the Three-voiced-Tune in jiujiang folk music form, and how their specific role in jiujiang Three-voiced-Tune of folk songs,is that we need to further discuss the problem.
