| First of all,the teaching philosophy of Primary School English teachers in Hainan province is dominant in the view of skills.Hainan primary School English teachers got the highest score in skill philosophy,and they mainly preferred to cultivate students’ listening,speaking,reading and writing abilities.Meanwhile,through classroom observation,the researchers found that teachers trained students’ listening,speaking,reading and writing mainly to cope with exams.In addition,the teaching philosophies of primary School English teachers has different performance under different conditions.Different genders,professional backgrounds,educational backgrounds and types of primary school English teachers will affect their performance in rules,skills,communication and culture.Secondly,after quantitative and qualitative research,the researchers divided the teaching philosophies of primary School English teachers into knowledge imparting,skill communication and cultural exchange.Through interviews,the researchers found that there are four factors that affect teachers’ teaching philosophies: teacher factor,student factor,school factor and social factor.Finally,the researchers put forward suggestions to change the teaching philosophies of English teachers.They are as follows: By establishing and improving the pre-employment education system to form a good teaching philosophy,English teachers should strengthen their reflection on their teaching philosophies and promote the teaching philosophies of primary School English teachers to change to cultural exchange. |
